Our story, our mission, and the people behind Haryana's free school for underprivileged children.
Balaji Shiksha Samiti began with a simple, powerful belief — that poverty should never be a reason a child cannot go to school. Founded in Rohtak, Haryana, we started by identifying children in our own neighbourhood who were out of school because their families couldn't afford fees, books, or uniforms.
What started as a small community classroom in Sanjay Colony grew into a full-fledged free school — and then into a movement. We now actively go to villages, towns, slums, and colonies across Haryana to find children who are out of school and bring them in — completely free.
Every child who walks through our doors receives free admission, a complete school kit, a uniform, nutritious meals, and the care of dedicated teachers. We do not turn any child away based on caste, religion, or family background.
Millions of children in rural and urban Haryana remain out of school. We exist to change that — one child at a time.
Countless children cannot enroll in school because fees, books, and uniforms cost money their families simply do not have.
Children in remote villages have no school nearby. We bring education to them through outreach programs and learning centres.
Girls are often pulled out of school early due to social pressures. We work with families to keep girls in school and learning.
To provide completely free, quality schooling to every underprivileged child in Haryana — and to reach every village and town where children have been left behind by the education system.
